Our Wellness Providers
Dr. Aliann Young is a chiropractic physician who has taken extensive postgraduate work in nutrition and functional endocrinology. Dr. Young has studied under Dr. Janet Lang who is an accomplished doctor who is pioneering the future of functional endocrinology. Dr. Young has been in practice for eight years and is also certified in Active Release Technique (ART). ART is a highly specialized manual soft tissue technique to help reduce fibrous adhesions and scar tissue to muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia. A consultation with Dr. Young may include diet recommendations, nutritional supplementation, detoxification, advanced hormone testing, hair analysis, and surface EMG’s. We encourage our patients to explore every avenue while trying to conceive. If appropriate, Dr. Young may refer you to a reproductive endocrinologist if further testing is needed. Whether you try our program or would like to augment another program with us, we are happy to work with other health care professionals.
Christine Zupancic is an NCCAOM Board certified acupuncturist who has trained in the Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean styles of acupuncture. She is in her ninth year of practice and offers these traditional therapies for all your health care needs with a particular emphasis on natural fertility support. In the Avon Lake Natural Fertility Program, she plays an integral role in assisting women to regulate their cycles and prepare their bodies for a healthy pregnancy. Christine also provides support to women who may have a history of incomplete gestational periods (not carrying to term), difficulty regulating the monthly fertility cycle, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, and pre-menstrual syndrome issues. In your initial consultation, Christine will evaluate your constitution according to Traditional Chinese Medicine and make the necessary recommendations based upon your constitution and medical history. Chinese Medicine knows that no two individuals are identical- hence the treatment plan is tailored to specifically meet your needs and fertility goals. She looks forward to working with you to support your fertility goals.
Our wellness center also has 5 massage therapists to whom we commonly refer for help in reducing stress and increasing blood flow to the tissues.
